Sue Negrine
On Tuesday 5th February 2008, the dream of Sue Negrine was realised. The first dream accomplished by Dreams2Live4 for 2008!
Sue, from Edgeclifee in Sydney, lives with metastatic cancer, and is a patient of Professor Friedlander at the Prince of Wales Hospital.
Her young son Gray has a growing interest and love of mathematics, and Sue’s dream was for her son to meet Terence Tao, a young world-renowned Australian mathematician who is head of UCLA mathematics department in the United States.
Having made contact with Terence Tao, Dreams2Live4 discovered that in February 2008 he would be attending a conference in Katoomba, and he readily agreed to meet Sue, her son, and two family friends who accompanied them on the trip.
Chris Dennison of Aussie Bush Discoveries & Corporate Australiana Tours kindly arranged return transfers from Sydney to Katoomba, and dinner at the Carrington Hotel Brasserie.
Sue was overwhelmed and thrilled to be able to provide this special gift to her son, and the evening was a huge success and memorable experience for everyone concerned.
“Terence Tao is an amazing person and I really want to thank him for the time he spent with us, my son Gray, and our young friends Angus and Henry will never forget the experience” said Sue.
