Relax and Revive dream becomes a reality Dreams2Live4

Dreams2Live4 an executive fund raising committee of the Prince of Wales Hospital Foundation, established to help people living with metastatic cancer fulfil their life dreams, continues to help people realise dreams. Already this year one dream has been fulfilled now there is a second.

Sarah Cronnelly from Woonona in Sydney’s northern suburbs has returned to Sydney after a holiday on the Sunshine Coast with her husband and 3 year old twins.

The ACCOR Group kindly donated accommodation at the Novotel Twin Waters Resort where Sarah and her husband spent time together whilst the children played.

Sarah’s dream was to have a holiday with her family, where her husband could truly unwind and revive.

He has been the family’s carer since Sarah became ill, looking after the children and cooking most meals. She knew for him to have some time out with her, the children would need to be catered for so ACCOR also donated free entry each day to the Dolfi Kids Club at the resort.

Dreams2Live4 purchased flights for the family on Jetstar.

Upon their return, Sarah and her husband were visibly relaxed; Sarah said she felt revitalised and that it was such a pleasure to see Gerry unwind. “The resort was fantastic they made our stay incredibly memorable we would just like to thank everyone so much for making it happen in particular dreams2live4, Professor Friedlander and Annie Robinson.”

The Dream2Live4 initiative is the brainchild of Annie Robinson, a woman who has lived with metastatic cancer (advanced cancer that has spread to other parts of a person’s body) for the past eight years. Annie was featured in a special documentary on Andrew Denton’s Enough Rope last year on ABC TV, which told the story of her inspiring battle with cancer.

The Dreams2Live4 committee aims to attract supporters who have the contacts to assist them in realising the dreams of many more cancer sufferers in the future.
